Panasonic TC-L32U22 32-Inch 1080p LCD HDTV User Review
After trying two other flat screen TVs and studying different models in showrooms and on the the web, my wife and I gave this model a try. My wife can be very sensitive to the intensity of an LCD TV picture and one thing she likes about this TV is that is has great adjustments for contrast, brightness, etc. In particular, the “Cinema” setting tones the brightness down and gives good picture clarity. She can also select a picture size or formatting that makes videos, widescreen or full screen DVDs, etc., all look good. Furthermore, there is no noticeable blurring. Overall the quality of the picture is superb, and it was worth paying a little more for the 1080p. Even TV programs not broadcast in high-def look great. In addition, unlike other TVs, the speakers provide sound of sufficient volume and excellent quality. I also like that it has plenty of inputs (including 3 HDMI, 1 component, and 2 composite inputs). Its ability to interface with SD cards and computers is also neat. And, in my limited experience, Panasonic has excellent customer service, with personnel who, in general, are more knowledgeable than most I have talked with at Samsung in regards to that company’s products. My only complaint is that the only audio output on this TV is digital/optical (for new “home entertainment” systems), which, apparently, is the direction newer LCD TVs this size and up are going. Sometimes I need to use headphones when I am playing something to which my wife does not want to listen. In order to do this I connect my Blu-Ray/VHS/or satellite box output to the input of a little 2 watt amplifier I have and run the headphones off of that, using the amplifier’s volume control, with the TV volume on “mute”. I would like for this TV to have a 1/8″ audio output. In spite of that, in my opinion it is worth 5 stars.

Panasonic Viera TH-46PZ80U 46-Inch 1080p Plasma HDTV User Review
[...]
I originally bought the TH-50PZ80U 50-Inch model but 3 days after I got it mounted on my wall I heard a loud pop sound, the picture went black and the red light started flashing a code on the front. Plasma TVs consume a huge amount of power – I think the 50 inch was running around 750 Watts. I did some research and discovered that the power supplies and internal power switching are extremely sensitive to power fluxuations. I had a surge protector in place, but that was not enough to save it. Ya need something like a Monster A/V Power Center / Filter (MP PRO 3500) or I just bought an industrial APC power filter rated for 800 Watts and only plugged my TV into it. I recommend this model: “APC BR1500LCD 1500VA 865 Watts 8 Outlets BACK-UPS” and make sure you plug your TV into the plug that says “surge & battery backup” and not “surge only” – ya gotta have a filter to give a clean 60hz 110VAC out to your TV because your power from the power company is “dirty” and that can damage your TV.

Panasonic TC 50PS14 – 49.9″ VIERA plasma TV – widescreen – 1080p (FullHD) – HDTV User Review
Recently picked up a 50S14 from Best Buy, at the time I was under the impression it was the same as a S1 but with a VGA input (no speaker input though so what’s the point of the VGA?). This apparently was not the case as this S14 is actually a slight downgrade from the S1. Panasonic specs claim the 50S14 does not have the Neo Panel and the accompanying extra 1,000 or so shades of degradation and does not have a Game Mode (which is supposed to brighten up the screen and eliminate any lag- lag is not an issue to begin with and you can probably brighten up the screen yourself). The other difference which may be a big deal for some is that the 50S14 claims to only have 900 or more lines of moving resolution while the S1 and better models are capable of the full 1080 lines of moving resolution. This may not be a big deal as most people probably couldn’t tell the difference anyways. In all, the specs on this tv would have made it pretty darn spiffy back in ‘08 but by 2010 standards it’s getting obsolete. If you are willing to spend a little more locally or take the chance of ordering a tv online you can definitely get a better set for a similar or lesser price. If I would have known all this at the time I probably would have just settled on a 42S1 for the Neo panel, 1080 lines of moving resolution and game mode but I do really love having a 50″ set from a local store with a very good return policy.
As for gaming, plasma beats LCD any day of the week. I have owned a few LCD’s lately (all were returned) ranging from the ho-hum 60hz 8ms to 120hz 6ms and both had about a half second lag that I never even noticed until I gamed on the plasma with 600hz .0001 ms. It was like night and day. I swear the plasma knows what button I’m going to hit before I hit it, it is that responsive (perhaps LCD with lower ms would help here). I have not seen any motion blur or pixelation with the plasma, things I commonly saw on both the 60 and 120hz LCDs (again, LCd with lower ms would help here for the pixelation).
My main gripe about all plasmas in general is that they are much dimmer than any LCD (apparently LCDs are unnaturally bright, but for sports I think this gives it a superior picture quality, I love those crips, white uniforms and an overly sharp image)
In all, I do love my new plasma even if its not the best thing out there. If you can find a deal on one of these S14’s I recommend it but make sure to shop around a little bit first, many places are dealing on their 2009 plasma models right now since the 2010 models are coming out.

Panasonic TC-23LX60 23-Inch LCD HDTV with HDMI Connection User Review
This is an excellent LCD high definition television. The resolution is very good and it has a good viewing angle capability. The only negative that I found is that it does not have a HD built-in tuner. The HD capability is used only when component signals are present.
