Proscan 40LD45Q 40-Inch 1080p LCD HDTV, Black User Review

I got this TV on a daily deal for 9, which at the time was the least expensive 32″ 1080 p resolution TV I’d ever seen. I’ve had it mounted to my bedroom wall for about a month. No problems whatsoever. This is our first HDTV and its stunning!!

The TV was easy to set up. We have a small cadre of cables to stream netflix…or use the laptop and all work perfectly.

No complaints thus far!!

Panasonic Viera TH-42PZ80U 42″ 1080p Plasma HDTV User Review

I have really enjoyed this Plasma display as it has very rich colors and high quality video. I don’t get the white light effect on black colors referred to as “washed out colors” like lcd displays have. I am really happy with this and have my PS3 and HDMI DVD player hooked up to it with no problem.

Panasonic TH-50PZ77U 50-Inch 1080p Plasma HDTV User Review

I jumped to get mine during a one day sale for a rediculously lower price than here.

No dead pixels. Very bright picture. Video reproduction on this plasma is SO much better than most LCDs I’ve seen.

Using the HDMI ports from a BluRay player and a HD-DVD player I fine tuned mine to the following settings:

Picture Mode: Standard
Picture: -6
Bright: +15
Color: -6
Tint: -3
Sharp: +5
Color Temp: Normal
Color Management: Off
All Filters: Off

Those settings are for when 1080 is filling up the whole picture; but I have to lower the Picture and raise the Brightness for 4:3 or video with black bars at the top & bottom.

Blacks are better on Standard-Def tube monitors; but black on Plasma’s are
much much better than the LCD’s I’ve seen. I’ve attempted to help a few friends set up their LCD’s for best black, but resolution deteriorates on most LCD’s when blacks look good. On the other hand the Picture and Brightness tuning on this plasma behaves very similar to a Tube monitor. Blacks are still a bit too milky for my taste, but I guess I’ll have to raise the room lighting to trick out my eyes. I like this plasma for the price I paid for it.

Panasonic TC-L37D2 37 inch Viera LED Full HDTV, 1080 Resolution, with Basic Accessory Kit (2 HDMI Cables, 1 RGB Cable, 1 Audio Cable, Plasma / LCD Clean Kit) User Review

We purchased this TV a week ago from Best Buy (on sale) to replace a 9-year-old Panasonic CRT in our bedroom. After looking at many different plasma, LCD, and LED-LCD TV’s we chose this one for the picture, size, and good experience we have had in the past with Panasonic products. The 37 inch was the perfect size for our bedroom, big enough to take advantage of the flat screen LED picture without dominating the room. And besides, it fit perfectly into our existing entertainment center.

The picture though is truly amazing! We knew they were running special high def programs on all the TV’s at the store to really make the picture and colors pop. However, we wondered how it would look at home? We were very pleasantly pleased to find this Panasonic looks every bit as good on our system at home as it did at the store! Even non-HD channels on the cable are absolutely spectacular. My wife and I are both really pleased with the TV.

Sound as well is quite clear and vibrant and the best we have had from any TV we have owned. A pleasant surprise! Although it could stand to be a little more powerful as I usually have to turn it up to 60%-70% of the max to get it where I like it.

Connections include: Two HDMI, one component, one RCA jacks, one PC connection, and one digital audio-out on the back. One more HDMI and one more RCA jack on the side.

Some of the other new LED-LCD TV’s we saw included the option to connect wireless to services such as NETFLIX etc. The Panasonic does not offer that option through this TV. However, this was not an important feature to us, so not a consideration.

Overall, we really like this TV and find the quality of the picture and sound to be exceptional!

Panasonic TC-P58VT25 58-inch 3D Ready 1080p VIERA Plasma HDTV User Review

I’ve owned this 58VT25 for a few weeks now. HDTV broadcasts and Blu-ray video are just amazing, not to mention the very excellent 3D seen from Direct TV broadcasts. And by the way .. There are no grayish backgrounds where one would expect black. On this TV, blacks are BLACK. Also, on mine, there isn’t any, “buzz” (someone here reported hearing a buzz) or any sound other than program content regardless of how close I get to the TV. If there was, I would call Panasonic’s repair service.

One thing I learned early on is, don’t mess with the color adjustments on this TV right off the bat; wait a few days for the TV to stabilize then adjust if you feel the need. The color realism on this TV is extraordinary. Being typically an early adapter, I’ve owned a few other plasma TVs. My gripe with my earlier Panasonics is .. I could never get the reds quite right (leaned toward crimson), and there always seemed to be just the slightest greenish hew. Yes .. I’m picky .. kind of a perfectionist I guess.

The reason for my having owned several TVs over the recent past is because those before never seemed quite right. This one though is a keeper. If there’s any gripe at all it’s with watching non-HDTV broadcasts. They look great, but I think they looked even better on the TV I replaced this one with. But broadcasters are all switching over to HD so that little complaint will never cause me to continue in my early adapter ways. This one, I’m sure, will stay in my house until one of us passes away (I’m a few years into retirement).

And by the way, I will edit this review if any negatives become apparent on this TV over time.
