Panasonic VIERA G1 Series TC-L32G1 32-Inch 720p 120Hz LCD HDTV User Review

We purchased the TC-L32G1 in January after a bad experience with a TC-L32S1 in December (see my review there). The TC-L32G1 has worked great. The initial set up was easy and the colors, contrast, controls are good. We like the features. The only down side is the sound. It is more than adequate for our bedroom. We do notice a difference in sound between some channels so the volume variance in some cases is due to the broadcasting station. If you are purchasing this TV for a living or family room you will probably want to invest in a surround sound system. The overall purchase experience with Amazon was A+. I would recommend this TV for a bedroom or an office or den.

Proscan 32LB30QD 32-Inch 720p LCD HDTV with built-in DVD Player, Silver/Black User Review

I bought the Proscan 37LB30QD 37″ with built DVD Player. Great TV for the price. Was going to put in kids room but I liked it so much I gave them my 32″ TV and put the Proscan in my bedroom. My wife and I now have a bedroom full of kids at night (limited time of course) watching TV with us. We love this TV!

Panasonic TC-L32U22 32-Inch 1080p LCD HDTV User Review

After trying two other flat screen TVs and studying different models in showrooms and on the the web, my wife and I gave this model a try. My wife can be very sensitive to the intensity of an LCD TV picture and one thing she likes about this TV is that is has great adjustments for contrast, brightness, etc. In particular, the “Cinema” setting tones the brightness down and gives good picture clarity. She can also select a picture size or formatting that makes videos, widescreen or full screen DVDs, etc., all look good. Furthermore, there is no noticeable blurring. Overall the quality of the picture is superb, and it was worth paying a little more for the 1080p. Even TV programs not broadcast in high-def look great. In addition, unlike other TVs, the speakers provide sound of sufficient volume and excellent quality. I also like that it has plenty of inputs (including 3 HDMI, 1 component, and 2 composite inputs). Its ability to interface with SD cards and computers is also neat. And, in my limited experience, Panasonic has excellent customer service, with personnel who, in general, are more knowledgeable than most I have talked with at Samsung in regards to that company’s products. My only complaint is that the only audio output on this TV is digital/optical (for new “home entertainment” systems), which, apparently, is the direction newer LCD TVs this size and up are going. Sometimes I need to use headphones when I am playing something to which my wife does not want to listen. In order to do this I connect my Blu-Ray/VHS/or satellite box output to the input of a little 2 watt amplifier I have and run the headphones off of that, using the amplifier’s volume control, with the TV volume on “mute”. I would like for this TV to have a 1/8″ audio output. In spite of that, in my opinion it is worth 5 stars.

Panasonic TC-32LX70 32-Inch 720p LCD Flat Panel HDTV User Review

I bought the Panasonic 32″ LCD TV from Amazon.com and the price was right, the delivery was fast and the product arrived in great shape. I had no trouble setting the unit up and the color was great. The sound is great and no troubles have come about. It was good to work with Amazon and so I give this TV two big tumbs up in quality and performance (well worth the purchase). I especially like how light these LCD TV’s are compared to my old Sony Analog TV which felt like a ton.

Panasonic TC-L32X2 32-Inch 720p LCD HDTV with iPod Dock User Review

After 18 years with a 25″ RCA tube TV, I finally stepped up to HD. After watching (and complaining) for three months about the inconsistent picture quality of a previous HDTV purchase (Sylvania TV/DVD combo), it’s a real pleasure to watch a quality TV with correct color and black levels that aren’t overwhelming.

Great picture out of the box, even from extreme angles; so far I’ve only upped the brightness. When I get some time, I’ll use “Video Essentials” to set everything correctly. My wife claimed that the previous TV looked fine to her; after two days with this TV she commented that the picture was really clear. She was watching “Sex and the City” on Showtime HD and said it was so clear that she could see all the details in one of Carrie’s jackets, when before she thought it was all black. She also commented on the detail in A Bug’s Life on DVD.

For me the test was Breaking Bad on AMCHD, and although the show’s palette tends toward dark and greenish, it’s far better than the Sylvania I replaced. After having watched an episode of Cougar Town, however, I’m beginning to believe that broadcast TV is a crapshoot in terms of proper color balance. DVDs are far more consistent. Speaking of which, I want to revisit a lot of my favorite movies now that I can watch them on a bigger, wider, clearer screen than I’ve ever had before. (Update 6/26/10: I just hooked up a new Blu-Ray player and the detail and clarity is just stunning. Every day I love my TV a little more.)

My wife absolutely loves the iPod dock and the ability to control the iPod with the TV remote; I’d love it if my album artwork showed up on the screen. Sound levels from the built-in speakers seem anemic, but since this TV will eventually go into the bedroom, I’ll live with it. That brings me to my one major beef about the set: Although it has three HDMI inputs and various other component/composite inputs, it has no external RCA output (only optical and Viera Link, whatever that is), so I can’t hook it up to either my non-optical receiver or my wireless headphone transmitter.

Overall, though, I’m very happy with this purchase, and will definitely consider a Panasonic Viera for our next (bigger, higher-resolution) HDTV. What blows my mind is that this TV cost about the same as my 25″ RCA did back in 1992. For what it’s worth, I took the RCA to Goodwill; as far as I know it’s still alive and kicking.

Panasonic Viera TC-32LZ800 32-Inch 1080p LCD HDTV User Review

This television delivers where it really counts: picture quality. Color accuracy is as close to perfect as can be straight out of the box. Tones are not oversaturated like many LCDs and contrast is good. The A-IPS panel makes this set have the best viewing angles of any LCD on the market with absolutely no color shift and extremely minimal brightness disparity even at the most extreme angles. The black levels are great, but some of the competing sets with VA panels are better in this regard. The only real fault with this unit is the remote, and not the remote itself, but the receiver in the TV. You have to be pointing the remote directly at the IR receiver for it to function properly. Otherwise, this TV is fantastic for use as an HD media center and a computer monitor. I shopped extensively before deciding, and it came down to this and the Samsung LNA650. Both sets are superlative, but the Panasonic is just that much better.

Panasonic VIERA C12 Series TC-L32C12 32-Inch 720p LCD HDTV User Review

Outstanding value when I purchased it. Setup pretty easy. Performance very good. Had an issue with the sound but Panasonic customer service was excellent and solved my problem (a simple setting change). Packaging could have been better-box was damaged, but not the TV fortunately.

VIZIO VO320E 32-Inch ECO 720p LCD HDTV User Review

As others have posted, I was hesitant to buy a TV on line. But, based on what some reviewers said, I made the move and was extremely satisfied with Amazon’s handling of the order. With free shipping and a promise of 5-9 business days, I ordered it late on a Wed. night and it was on my porch by noon on Sat. Unbelievable! I do wonder why they would deliver a TV without a signature and just leave it on a porch, visible to anyone passing by, in an unwrapped box, clearing showing that it is an LCD TV. A dishonest person, which I am obviously not, could say they never got it and there is no proof that it was delivered. This is an Amazon decision, to not require a signature and it seems foolish to me.

Out of the carton, without a cable box and just attaching the coaxial cable straight from the wall, the picture is terrific and equals my 42 inch Panasonic plasma TV with an HD cable box. I haven’t even attached the Comcast adapter yet and I am amazed with the crispness of the picture, lack of distortion and the color quality is great. I don’t think I will even bother to tweak the settings. Attaching the base is simply done with a single thumb screw.

I have external speakers that I used with my last TV and I’m not sure if I’m going to bother switching to them. The sound quality is fine for me as it is.
