Panasonic Viera TH-42PZ80U 42″ 1080p Plasma HDTV User Review

I have really enjoyed this Plasma display as it has very rich colors and high quality video. I don’t get the white light effect on black colors referred to as “washed out colors” like lcd displays have. I am really happy with this and have my PS3 and HDMI DVD player hooked up to it with no problem.

Bought at Sears about 0. Easy basic set up. To go further with add-on devices you MUST understand the technical names and connectors. Instructions are limited on plug-ins. Great picture. Great sound for first 30+ days. Now I get a “buzz” on bass type sounds, like distortion of speaker or vibration in plastic case. Not yet worth taking down and going for repair. No direct outputs for speakers/surround sound, have to connect other cables. Overall it is a much better picture than previous 30″ analog set. Channel change is slow, maybe due to using an antenna. Reception clips in and out often even on best channels (but never on commercials
The input/output connections are hidden and confusing but overall for our use it works great. Just wish it was more novice friendly on installation.

I purchased this 65 inch panasonic tv about a month ago. I am more than pleased. It has the best picture that I have ever seen on a tv. If you really want the experience of the movie theater at home then this is the way to go. The installation was simple(takes two strong people to lift it). The operation of the tv and remote was very easy. I have to say that I really enjoy this tv.
